Melissa Clark, Ph.D., professor of health services, policy and practice, has been appointed Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, succeeding Don Operario, Ph.D., who returns to full-time teaching and research. In this role, she oversees the School of Public Health’s academic degree programs and represents the School to the University. Throughout her decades at Brown, Professor Clark has been a dedicated teacher and mentor, teaching “Introduction to Public Health” and “Applied Research Methods,” and mentoring many students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty. We are excited for Professor Clark to bring her broad academic experience to her new role.
